Wauchope Bonny Hills SLSC is located at Rainbow Beach, Bonny Hills on the beautiful Mid North Coast of NSW (map). The Club formed on October 8, 1958 when branch superintendent Cec Johnson chaired a meeting of interested parties.

The Wauchope Bonny Hills SLSC is well known as the ‘family club’. The current club membership boasts many grandchildren of the original bronze medallion squads from the late 1950s and 60s.

Throughout its history, the club has been fortunate to record no fatalities while Wauchope Bonny Hills SLSC members have been patrolling.

Our membership is mostly drawn from the local area, including Bonny Hills, Wauchope and surrounding areas, North Haven, Laurieton, Dunbogan, Kendall and Lake Cathie.

Our Club boasts a tremendous record in boat rowing – both at North Coast Premiership level as well as Country, state and Australian championships. The introduction of Boat Bonds and Beach Bonds has helped with the purchase of new boats.

Our members have won medals and gained excellent placings in Surf Life Saving Association competitions at local, national and World Masters level. Our club march past teams trained by Raelene Monkley, Chalkie Bob and Andrea Goodwin have done the club proud and won a NSW Country silver medal and a fourth in the NSW State.

Through our nippers club, we encourage our young members to learn to enjoy the beach safely and to improve their swimming, sprinting and board skills.

There really is something for everyone to enjoy at Wauchope Bonny Hills SLSC.
