Surf lifesavers engage in regular competition, or surf carnivals, which are held at club, branch, regional, state, national and international levels. Competition allows our members to travel, get fit and practice their lifesaving skills.
Each season there are local surf lifesaving carnivals held by the Mid North Coast branch, plus representative carnivals at Country, State & National levels (click for details of Nipper carnivals and Senior/Boat carnivals).
In the last few years, we have had magnificent successes in the competitive arena, including Gold medal-winning performances.
Peter Smith has reinvigorated our club's paddlers with regular training sessions now in place. Our paddlers have produced some terrific results in competition - more information is available by emailing Peter.
There are rules for carnivals - to compete out club must abide by these requirements including the need to supply officials. Details are outlined on the SLSA web site.
Competition Code of Conduct - read what you can and can't do if you want to compete for Wauchope-Bonny Hills. Note the SLSA web site has a comprehensive Competition Manual.
Important note: We encourage good sportsmanship in ALL our members, young and old. We will not tolerate "sports rage" or poor sporstmanship from competitors OR parents OR spectators.
