Surf Life Saving Australia offers a range of lifesaving training and awards to its members and the community. Our Club's Youth Development Officer is Leanne Goggin - a second generation WBHSLSC member. She uses club and SLSA resources to develop educational sessions for our Nipper kids. Most focus on beach safety, with the older kids learning basic resuscitation and First Aid. All Wauchope-Bonny Hills nippers are involved in 'Surf Education Lessons' with their Age Managers - this involves a practical and a theoretical component.

The Club's newly appointed Director of Education is Kim Rayner (phone: 0419760808). She can provide information on awards and the times/dates for the next training courses to be offered. Our Panel of Instructors includes: 'Chalkie' Bob Smith, Leanne Goggin, Simon Stennett, George Storm, Keith Charles, Wayne Gill & Paul Hoole.
