Our Nippers Presentation Day for the 2008/09 season was held on Sunday March 22 on the big stage beside the surf club and was a HUGE success, thanks to a lot of hard work.

The presentations focused on recognising the participation and achievements of the kids and thanking those who supported the nippers program in 2008/09. We had 156 registered nippers last season and 215 this year – we just keep on growing every year, so we must be doing something right!

Again , thanks to all the hard work of our Age Managers, Committee and parents and to Lee Smith & Julian for the BBQ. Thanks also to our crew of water safety personnel who really 'shone' again this year.

We are required to have accredited officials at all carnivals so the kids can compete so a huge thank you to Carmel, Craig, Kevin, Sean, Mick, Gil and Jedd who have now completed their Surf Life Saving Official’s Course … at our carnival alone, some of these guys were on the beach for 12 hours!

Finally thanks to Leanne, Jedd, Kyanah & Dave Goggin (and the Smith family) for everything they do (particularly behind the scenes) to make the season sing.
